19世紀末 アメリカ南部で生まれた 黒人音楽 JAZZ。その自由な表現方法はあらゆる民族性を取り込みながら世界中を旅し、やがてヨーロッパや南米のJAZZ が産まれました。その風は日本にも辿り着き、多くのジャズミュージシャンが­登場し、僕もその中で活動を初めました。

2000年、より僕らしいJAZZを創りた­いと考え気鋭の邦楽器奏者と"東方異聞"を結成。
あれから12年、尺八奏者 小濱明人という同志を得て、再び自らのルーツと向き合いたいと思っています。201­2年8月 NewYork で活動を始めた LOTUS POSITION。今、僕たちが信じる日本の響きをお聴きください。

JAZZ, black music, at the end of the19th century in the southern part of America it has born. Its expression has assimilated many nationalities, and traveled around the world. Then European JAZZ or South American JAZZ have started. This wind also blew toward Japan, and I have started to work with other Japanese JAZZ musicians. In 2000, with great Japanese folk instrument players I started the band “東 方異聞 Toho Ibun “ to create my own music. 12years later, now with shakuhachi player Akihito Obama I want to face my own root again. In August 2001 we launched LOTUS POSITION in New York. Please listen to Japanese sound that we believe now.
