19世紀末 アメリカ南部で生まれた 黒人音楽 JAZZ。その自由な表現方法はあらゆる民族性を取り込みながら世界中を旅し、やがてヨーロッパや南米の JAZZ が産まれました。その風は日本にも辿り着き、多くのジャズミュージシャンが登場し、僕もその中で活動を初めました。

2000年、より僕らしい JAZZを創りたいと考え気鋭の邦楽器奏者と "東方異聞" を結成。 あれから16年、尺八奏者 小濱明人という同志を得て、再び自らのルーツと向き合いたいと思っています。2012年8月 NewYork で本格的な活動を始めた LOTUS POSITION。今、僕たちが信じる日本の響きをお聴きください。

At the end of 19th century, Jazz spread over the world from America. People have played “Jazz” in Europe and South America with their own tastes, and also in Japan. In 2000, I started a band “東方異聞 tohoibun” with my own distinctive way. Now, 12 years later, I play with a reliable shakuhachi player Akihito Obama, and I would like to face to my roots. LOTUS POSITION, we started to play in New York, August 2012. Please enjoy our Japanese sound.
